First results from field users confirmed the usefulness of FarroWin® to reduce stillbirth!

Charlotte TEIXEIRA presented the model behind the APP and first results from field users during the 16th European Symposium of Porcine Health Management in Bern, Switzerland. Farrowin® predict stillborn rate for a sow from her parity, her production performance at the previous farrowing (total born, stillborn) and her backfat thickness prior-to-farrow. The advantage of the APP is to consider only data easily collected on farm. The usefulness, the precision and the accuracy of the model is confirmed by first results from users in the field.
